AleSmith Brewing Co

Making some of the best beers in San Diego!

we swept into town for San Diego Beer Week. Founded in 1995 by Skip Virgilio and Ted Newcomb the brewery was putting out a good local product, but in 2002 AleSmith was bought by Peter Zien who took it to another level and created a name for itself by making big (high alcohol) and hoppy beers. Can I TRP visited AleSmith in November of 2011 when we swept into town for San Diego Beer Week. We were able to try a good amount of their brews albeit in a some what hurried state as we arrived shortly before closing. Luckily, the bartender, Abby, was a Pink Boots Society member and had recognized Maria from
